John Sergeant and Daniel Evans are both leading a blessed life on Saturday night’s prime-time reality shows. Despite walking a tightrope with the judges, both have remained in their respective competitions at the expense of more talented opposition.
Online betting bookmakers Blue Square are betting on which of the reality TV no-hopers will be disappearing from the nation’s screens first. Daniel Evans from ITV’s X-Factor is the 6/5 favourite to depart first, with Strictly Come Dancing’s John Sergeant at 2/1. News reporter Sergeant has captured the hearts and votes of the public, despite his lack of prowess on the dance-floor. Meanwhile, the X-Factor’s Daniel has continued to prove the judges wrong by somehow gaining popular support despite a series of ropey performances.
Alan Alger from Blue Square said, “This is what reality shows are all about and sometimes the public show a sense of humour with who they throw their support behind. We’ve had plenty of shocks in X-Factor with some big favourites departing in the last couple of weeks, as Daniel keeps managing to avoid the bottom two”.

The Tie: 2/1
If both contestants are voted out on the same weekend the tie will apply.
