After losing their opening Test matches England and Wales faced improving opposition
Spot on again by Fletch – as both Australia and South Africa obliged on the handicaps.
Australia v Wales, Saturday 11.30am
We called this one bang on last week, with Wales only losing by six points on a 17 point handicap.
The men from the Valleys were lucky however, Australia had 70% of the possession in the first half, and Wales were basically hanging on for the entire match.
Have Wales missed their chance? I think so. Australia have been together a week longer now – and that will make a big difference. I think Aussie will win this one, and win big.
Look to back Australia on the handicap which you can get as low as 14 points at Blue Sq. Also, have a look at the spreads for winning margin, anything around 8, buy.
South Africa v England, Saturday 2pm
Again, we got this right last week, predicting a heavy loss for England, and the Boks obliged, sticking a record margin on Brian Ashton’s troops.
This second Test looks even bleaker for England. The Tour is now officially a shambles, and it’s getting worse. It seems that any man standing will get a game – as evidenced by Nick Abendanon and Matt Stevens getting call-ups.
South Africa will give absolutely no quarter, indeed their press and public have been baying for an even bigger win.
We can’t be sure what Jake White will do with his bench, so the try-scorer market isn’t really worth a look.
The handicap is a huge 33 points and that is the way to go, backing the SA to score, and win by, a hatful at 10/11 with most bookies.
