Back on track with a correct call in the Super 14, and the NZ v England cricket is looking up
Finally some succour after a bad fortnight.
Once Matt Henjak had broken the jaw of a team mate days before the start of the Super 14 season, I reckoned it was time to oppose them in the first match. The club was reeling and despite a brave effort against the Sharks in Durban, they lost as I predicted. A win – thank goodness.
I have spent the best part of two days working through the Super 14 matches.
Blues impressive in second half. Chiefs weak, Bulls not as strong as last year and Tahu the rugby league signing at NSW Waratahs is a potential genius.
However, a full preview later this week.
As for the cricket, England are not done and dusted yet in the One Day series and may yet salvage something for us. Oh, and they picked a fifth bowler, Mascherenas. I know he went for a few, but he just gives the side some balance.
