Weekend Review

Healthy profits from the weekend’s punting in the rugby and golf, less so in the rain hit cricket

Pretty good overall this weekend.

Rugby

We backed South Africa to thump Agrentina and they did – enormously. 10/11 booked and banked.

Golf

Less good, but not bad. We picked the wrong class act in form to win, and I must say Padraig Harrington has turned into a superb winner. Our two match bets were handsome winners as Ogilvy hammered Scott and Kim destroyed the withdrawn Perry. Goosen came 24th and we sold him at 38 so more points there.

Cricket

This is not so good. We backed South Africa at an average of around 3.7 to 3.75. For much of the Test they have loitered around there and on Sunday morning I actually cancelled my trade and got myself out the market.

I feel many of you would have done similar with so time left in the match. For those who did not, a couple of quick wickets on Monday morning will cause the prices to flutter substantially, and you may get another chance.

So overall profit was made – not spectacular but winning is what we are about and that is continuing.
