More excellent profit as both the Rugby and the NFL went as forecast at the weekend
Tri-Nations Rugby
New Zealand win the Tri-Nations which was big news for us and plenty of profit as well.
1. We layed Australia in the overall market back before the start of the tournament in June. Saturday’s result won that bet for us.
2. We layed the All Blacks before play in the final game, hoping for Aussie to get in the game as I felt both sides would hit above evens in the first 25 minutes. At 17-7 Aussie at half-time we had made that trade pay.
I also reckoned ABs at the start were good value at 4/6 for the outright, if you couldn’t trade and they won 28-24.
The total points made up 52 as well which for those who followed the last bit of advice, on a nice little spread.
Bath v Gloucester, Guinness Premiership Rugby
Gloucester won for us at 6/5 and those who decided to trade the close prices enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of flip-flop prices as Butch James failed to kick anything as a goal.
However a lovely win for us completing a two from two rugby weekend.
NFL
The Green Bay Packers rushed out to a 21 point lead and despite getting complacent and allowing the Detroit Lions a chance, they ran out comfortable winners for our straight pick.
The Patriots at the Jets went perfectly, as the plan was to lay both at 1.7 and as Cassel started OK for the Pats at QB our trades were done and dusted and profit was in the bank nice and quickly.
A superb weekend
