Weekend review

The NFL and the rugby both delivered big on our bets this weekend

Rugby Union

Don’t say I didn’t warn you and I hope you were all on every bet backing the All Blacks against a woeful England.

What did we have?

Back New Zealand on handicap at -19.5 at 10/11
Back New Zealand halftine and full time at 1/5
Back Maa Nonu to score a try @ 2/1

At 12-3 at half-time and 32-6 at full-time the first two romped home and good old Maa Nonu, the man of the match, cruised in to complete the 100% set.

And on the other side Wales beat Australia as I suggested they might and we traded from a starting point of 7/4 on Wales that was too high. It was a perfect game as the Welsh won but not by much and the prices flip-flopped back and forth from odds-on to odds against with great regularity. A trading dream.

What a Saturday!

NFL

The first match was Saints @ Tampa and I reckoned Saints were well overpriced at 9/5 and backed them to trade. Well, they only lost by 3 in the bad weather and had the lead plenty of times as their price went odds-on and then above evens so many times it was a trading dream. Excellent – a great game for us with our fingers on the triggers and we started at 9/5!!!!

Sadly the Jets in the next game blew out against the Broncos so it kind of took our profit from the first match but as I suggested a little bet on the Falcons at 2/1 against San Diego was worth a straight-up punt and leave and boy those Falcons delivered for us.

A good Sunday with the account humming along nicely.
