Another healthy weekend for Fletch, hammering the NFL, wins in the Heineken Cup, and OK cricket action
NFL
Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers
"I want to back Green Bay but am keen to let their price drift. That is not necessarily an early lay but watch and choose hopefully a bigger price to get on. I would like 1.7. However, for the straight up punter go with Green Bay."
Final score: Viks 0 GB 34.
Well the price did not drift so it was just get on the Favre ride. They dominated the match from start to finish meaning we should all have got some profit when we got on.
Dallas @ NY Giants
"First up, I felt this was a close call. I hadn’t checked prices, just checked the schedule and thought this could trade a lot. Then I went to the prices and they are perfect. Best prices: Dallas 20/23: New York Giants 11/10"
"Basically I have no favour here. I will lay the side scoring first and hope for a humdinger bouncing back and forth over the evens mark. For the straight punter I would go for Dallas."
Well the first half was just two sides scoring alternately flip-flopping the prices beautifully – A TRADERS DREAM. And in the end Dallas ran out winners.
TWO STRAIGHT UP CALLS AND A GREAT TRADING MATCH – NOT BAD AS WE CONTINUE TO HAMMER THE NFL SEASON.
Heineken Cup Rugby
Five matches tipped with one loss and one that was not good or bad really. Friday night saw Dragons nearly cause an upset @ Perpignan. We had an early lay that nearly won huge at the end but at least gave us chance to trade out for a small gain, no loss or small loss.
Leicester was a bad loss and they were awful against Leinster (surprisingly powerful forwards).
Toulouse won, Wasps won and Clermont won.
So overall decent but Leicester annoys me a bit, as that they folded so weakly.
Cricket – 1st Test Australia v Sri Lanka
We backed Aussie at 1.5 and for the last two days they have been set below 1.08. Lovely – at time of writing they need three more wickets in two sessions – rain the only concern but even now the price is 1.2 leaving us a healthy profit.
So all in all, another good weekend – one bad call with Leicester Tigers, but plenty of money made to cover that and more.
