Weekend Review

A mixed bag for Fletch this past weekend, with some losses in the NFL, but strong Heineken Cup wins

Some good some bad this week and a couple of surprise results.

Mostly we were OK and winning, but a couple of straight up losses have kept winnings down tempering what could have been a spectacular weekend.

NFL

Thursday was poor as Texans dominated at home against Denver Broncos and apart from very early there was little chance to trade. LOSS Started badly on Saturday night when San Francisco 49ers defeated the Bengals with a third choice QB. DISASTROUS LOSS

We have done superbly at NFL this season. About five weeks ago we suffered our first blip and this is our second. It happens and the rest of the weekend will decide if we claw it back to neutral or small win or loss.

On Sunday, Browns beat the Bills 8-0 in blizzard conditions. I said Browns should win but wanted to lay them at 2/5 as Bills could cause some havoc. We got some nice trading and the final result so although it was a poor game in poor weather, it at least earned some us some money back.

Eagles 10 – 6 Cowboys. The is advice was: ‘Dallas should win but at 1/5 are too short, and we are laying and trading’ – that was the advice and things worked out nicely. In the last game, The giants let us down. It finished off a poor NFL weekend – first for some time but it hurts all the same.

Heineken Cup Rugby

Perpignan 23 – 6 London Irish, The advice was back Perpignan at 10/11 with 8 point handicap. KERCHING Wasps 25 – 24 Clermont – check weather and look for handicap bet between 5 and 10 points I advised on Wasps win. It was cold but a punt was there and with the score at 22-3 at half time plenty opf opportunity to take a profit.

Toulouse 22 – 11 Leicester Tigers. 4/11 straight up and also on handicap of 6 points at 10/11. This was a DOUBLE BET match and the French nailed it for us. STRONG PROFIT. We needed that and rugby has been very profitable this weekend.

Overall I am down on NFL this weekend but up handsomely on rugby.

The cricket starts tomorrow, provided the pitch is OK as apparently the ground in Galle has suffered with rain. As more info is forthcoming I will look into trades and update.
