A tough, tough weekend for Fletch in the Rugby – but at least the Superbowl won us back some money
Straight up what a shocking weekend.
Only one thing salvaged it and it didn’t completely do that for me and that was a great trading game in the Superbowl.
So let me start with the only thing that went right this weekend.
Lay the Patriots because they are too cheap at 2/9 was the advice and hope for a decent first half. Well we got that from the start and right through till the last seconds, the Giants traded between 3/1: 5/1: 7/1: amd then down to evens, odds on and finally 1.001.
Fantastic because we started with a great trade of a cheap price and benefited throughout.
Unfortunately that is the one success of the weekend.
Ireland were shocking in a lame win over Italy. I got hammered on the multi-points buy. Absolutely hammered.
Then England, after a fine first half and seemingly in charge, inexplicably threw the game away and the Welsh won. Horror.
I did OK out of the Scotland match only because I backed them before and traded straight away as they took a 3-0 lead. I then waited for a chance to lay France but Clerc dominated and I never saw enough to get back in the game on Scotland.
My rules of trading and momentum helped me then, but not in the previous two matches.
Thank God for the GIANTS – a team I lampooned early, slowly came round and thankfully we backed in the final match – the one that mattered most.
So that is it for the NFL for this season. Another great year on Gridiron.
