Weekend review

The weather did for New Zealand v Ireland, Wales were poor, but we fared much better in the cricket

So how did we fare this past weekend?

The weather was so atrocious in New Zealand for the rugby Test match that – as per the guidance – I did not get involved at all. Weather is a great leveller and we wanted a handicap bet so we had to leave well alone.

Wales though were awful – hugely disappointing and our short price lay, hoping to trade, never really got going. All we could do was back SA at a cheap price after they were winning to recover as much of our bet as we could.

Thankfully the cricket went exactly as planned. England dominated and our bet from above evens was seen all the way home.

The long term markets were about evens though, as KP did not score enough runs, but Ross Taylor romped home as Kiwi top batter at a decent price.

Next week it is all bish-bash stuff from the touring rugby Tests, so check the preview in mid-week.
