Weekend Review

A mixed bag for Iain Fletcher, with some big wins and huge flops

An interesting weekend of sport for our account as we watched the golf, cricket and rugby unfold.

GOLF: We opposed Martin Kaymer in a match bet against Ross Fisher at Gleneagles as the few remaining Ryder Cup spots were decided. Our decision was on form as Fisher was good and Kaymer awful, and boy did it work out.

Kaymer missed the cut and was beaten handsomely by Fisher who gets the gap doubled as he made the cut leaving us in fine profit. We had two bites at this market so we really did nail it.

CRICKET: Among the rain and dark clouds at Lord’s England thrashed South Africa again. We backed them on Friday at the Oval and again on Sunday so we keep collecting on them.

RUGBY: Disaster. South Africa blitzed Aussie – as they should have done the previous week – and there was nowhere for us to hide. We took the hit but over the weekend the account pointed north and that is what this game is all about for us.
