The Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints both win as our bets come through big
As always, Fletch delivered when it comes to betting on the NFL. Both of his straight-up picks for the New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals came in as this NFL season shows no signs of stopping handing us money on a plate
Sunday 6pm, Atlanta Falcons (8-4) @ New Orleans Saints (6-6)
Saints have not lost in the dome this year and look impressive when Drew Brees throws the ball and good old Reggie Bush catches it on a slant or a screen making yards with his blistering pace. They do miss Deuce McAllister though for those crucial short yard third downs.
Falcons won handsomely first time round this season but Bush was absent. However, Falcons with Matt Ryan hitting Harry Douglas for long throws are a real threat.
Having Bush back is huge though and I reckon straight punters should back Saints for a must win match to retain their play-off dreams at 8/13.
I will be trading but wanting to keep Saints onside.
Dallas Cowboys (8-4 ) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3)
Potentially a cracker so press the red button and watch this one. Both are in form, Tony Romo is back and buzzing for the Cowboys, and they are scoring big points in recent games. This match could be a ding-dong battle and screams trade to me.
Cowboys start at 7/5 and Steelers are a short 11/17. They should win but this is a lot closer than those prices suggest. Now let’s hope the weather is fine and DeMarcus Ware can get to Ben Roethlisberger. However, Romo has to be accurate because the Steelers have the best pass defense in the league.
Steelers should win but prices are too wide for me so I have to trade and watch like a hawk. If Cowboys cannot move the ball I am flipping to Steelers straight up.
Final Bet
Not a TV bet I am afraid but St Louis Rams @ Arizona Cardinals scream home win and points to me.
At -14 I am backing the CARDS at 10/11 but small. Come on Kurt Warner. Get me some TD’s.
