Another victory at Wolverhampton as we have a good betting week at the races

River Kirov ran home to victory in the 2:50 at Wolverhampton to continue our great week at the races

Kempton

2:25 – This could be quite a tight affair as a number of these have similar figures and have good recent form. In addition there is a lack of pace in the race which could lead to a muddled finish.

Desert Dreamer has shown consistent form of late without managing to get his head in front. Last time out he was just touched off by a neck. He chased the leaders throughout and was ridden over 2f out, he then disputed 2nd place from the 1f pole and kept on in the final 50 yards. It was a decent performance considering the race was over 6f and his last wins had all been gained over 7f.

My tip goes to Electric Warrior who is dropping in trip from his last run at Grade 2. He took a keen hold on the outer of the field that day and challenged for 2nd from the 3f marker but could not quicken in the last furlong and faded from there. He is still on an attractive mark and if he can maintain his form today he should have a big chance.

Wolverhampton

2:50 – A good opportunity for the bang in-form and hat-trick seeking River Kirov to make it three in a row. Last time out was one of his strongest performances to date and the win came at a grade above this. He tracked the leaders throughout and made smooth headway from the 2f pole. He was then shaken up to lead entering the final furlong and was pushed clear to score by 3 lengths. At the moment it looks like nothing can stop him and he is likely to be difficult to beat here again today with his last win coming only a week ago.

Of the rest Figaro Flyer looks to be the biggest danger.
