Stuart Eaton is spot-on with two winners at Kempton
After predicting both winners in Wednesday’s races from Kempton, Stuart should be feeling very proud of himself. And we can also be thankful for the bulging wallet in our pockets.
Kempton
6.20 – A number of starters are having their debut runs today so a check on the betting market is essential to judge their relative merits. In particular, any money for the John Gosden trained Hometown should be noted and respected. That said I think this is likely to come down to three from the field. Timpanist showed some improvement with a 2nd at Brighton last time out. She was trapped for room on a couple of occasions and the winner had already gone clear when she saw daylight. She did stay on fairly well, beat the rest comfortably and looks like the type to progress so she should put up a good performance today.
Chalk Hill Blue is another that showed much more promise on her second start after a fairly average debut. She handled the easier surface in her last race and stayed on under pressure to grab 2nd. She now looks likely to make her mark in handicaps once she has got her mark after one more run.
My tip goes to Latin Tinge who was promising on her Newbury debut and then followed that up with a nice enough performance in Group 2 company last time out. She was a little keen in front early on but has plenty of scope and is likely to come into her own when stepped up to middle distances next season. She should have plenty enough in her locker to take a race like this and she should run a big race today.
6.50 – This looks to be a good opportunity for the consistent Mille Feuille to turn in a winning performance after running into a place in all of her previous four starts. Last time out she was held up in last position and was then pushed along over 4f out. She made good progression over the 2f marker but took a little time to find her stride at the finish and ended up beaten into 2nd by a head. She runs as if she will improve with racing as it still took a while for the penny to drop, this looks to be an easier assignment however and it would be a surprise to see her beaten. Of the rest Mazaris looks the biggest danger.
