A winning horse racing bet at Great Leighs from Wednesday’s meet

Action Impact came through for us in the 8.50 yesterday with a nice win to boost our bankrolls

Great Leighs

8.20 – With little strength in depth Golden Bishop looks to have a good opportunity to chalk up a win here. Last time out he was held up in the last trio and made good headway on the inner over 1f out. He chased the leading pair in the final furlong and kept on well to claim third spot, just a length or so back from the subsequent winner. It was a decent performance as he didn’t get the clearest of runs in the race. In addition he showed enough to demonstrate that a race such as this is very much in his grasp.

Of the rest Artreju and St Petersburg could run well for the places.

8.50 – This has the looks of a tight affair as a number of these could run well. That said I feel that two stand out from the field. Remember Ramon is going well at the moment and won nicely over 1m4f at Wolverhampton last time out. He set a modest pace on the day and quickened clear at the 2f marker. He was then shaken up over 1f out and ran on well to claim victory by two lengths. It was a decent performance although he was allowed to open up an uncontested lead and to dictate the pace. He may not have that opportunity today and it will be interesting to see how he copes.

My tip goes to Action Impact who has had an encouraging start to racing with three wins and two seconds in seven starts. Last time out he showed there was still plenty of life about him at his current mark. He was towards the rear rank and was then pushed along to make progress over 2f out. He stayed on to take second place entering the final furlong. Although he was closing on the winner he was never able to challenge and he went down by a length. You would expect another good run today and that could be enough to take this.
