All the super action from the Super 14
If you stayed up late to watch the Super 14’s this weekend you hopefully followed Iain’s tidy betting advice as he got all three games spot-on.
We are getting towards crunch time in this years Super 14 tournament and the games are now a little harder to call as teams tire, players are injured (Dan Carter) and some coaches have already started work towards next year as they have no chance this.
EMIRATES WESTERN FORCE v NSW WARATAHS SAT 11.00 AM
A big Aussie match-up in Perth where surprisingly the Force struggle. This is a must win match and a damned hard one for them. Too often they have possession but crab along the backline with only Ryan Cross and Drew Mitchell straightening the play and breaking the defensive line.
They have many close matches so this one is a definite trade. The only problem it is not on TV in UK!!! Some filler footie program or darts will be on but not this superb live match from down under! Ridiculous. Can we bet on it. Sadly no – I cannot pick a winner so it is a great opportunity missed.
What I will do however is leave a price of 1.7 on both teams as an order on the exchange. The match prior is on SKY as is the Blues v Brumbies.
BLUES v BRUMBIES SAT 8.35 AM
The Blues have a low price at home of 1.3 but they have laboured awfully in recent weeks and lack some spark. In contrast the Brumbies are scrapping well for a side with so many injuries. At 3/1 they are a great trading starting price. If you cannot watch it however then leave alone.
STORMERS V CHEETAHS 1PM SAT
This is a straight up punt and leave for me as the Stormers have looked classier every week and the Cheetahs – despite having Juan Smith back are a poor outfit.
The price is not great at 3/10 but I think the Stormers at home should win this 9 times in 10. Back them, forget it and check the result later.
