Cork winner sees off Rupinder Bedi
Sam Razavi has been named UKIPT’s 2011 Player of the Year after four cashes, including one victory, in the UK and Ireland’s biggest poker tour.
Razavi saw off the spirited challenge of Rupinder Bedi, who despite four cashes of his own and an unbelievable seven over the past two years, just couldn’t find the win that would have seen him leapfrog the ever popular Razavi.
As a reward for his stellar play in 2011, Razavi, known online as ‘KODDZILLA’, has won free entry to every UKIPT in next year’s series, while Bedi received four entries.
And with Joeri Zandvliet and Nick Abou Risk currently the only UKIPT two-time winners, Razavi will be looking to join the UKIPT’s most exclusive club when the tour kicks off again very soon.
Here’s how the 2011 UKIPT leaderboard finished up:
1. Sam Razavi 240.35
2. Rupinder Bedi 220.90
