One bet this weekend and Tom Allen likes Spurs to beat a tiring Reading at home
Tom Allen was spot, and despite a dubious penalty to seal it, we’re in the money as Spurs grabbed a 1-0 win.
Just one bet this weekend and it happens to be the live game on Sunday. Spurs host Reading at White Hart Lane and considering the rich vein of form they are in, are fancied to collect all three points.
The London club lie just one place and one point above Saturday´s opponents but they way they have been performing recently hints there is more between the sides than the league table suggests. Martin Jol´s men lost for the first time in nine matches when dumped out of the FA Cup by Chelsea last time and, although a number of their stars have been on recent international duty, the 1.78 currently available on Betfair looks pretty fair.
Steve Coppell could not have hoped for a better first season in the top flight with his Reading side and they deserve plenty of credit for still being in contention for a European place. They have not won in five however and perhaps, with a small squad, the long season is starting to take it´s toll on his talented outfit.
Whatever the outcome, the match should make for decent viewing and it is certainly one of the more attractive games this weekend. I´ll be tuned in on Sunday and suggest you do the same. The attacking options available to Jol could well prove the difference. Dimitar Berbatov in particular.
