Praz Bansi talks to PokerPlayer.co.uk about how he loves playing in the WSOPE and owning Erik Sagstrom in a huge pot early on
In part 1 of our exclusive video interview series with Praz Bansi, the UK Player Of The Year tells us about the excitement he feels when the WSOPE comes to town. ‘I love the fact that it’s one hour from my house,’ he says.
In the clip, Bansi also goes into detail about how he was able to get off to such a great start in the tournament, with a craftily-played hand against Erik Sagstrom. ‘He had no clue about what hand I had.’
Finishing Day 1 second in chips, Bansi didn’t let up for the entire five days and started the final table third in chips just behind James Akenhead. ‘Generally I felt like I read people really well that week. I don’t remember getting it all-in with Jacks against Queens and rivering a Jack or sucking out in general.’
Watch the above video for more from Praz and some great strategy advice on how to play big pairs early on in a tournament.
