NFL weekend

Another profitable weekend in the NFL for us

After a shaky first half, Green Bay eventually won in some style for a straight-up profit at 6/5. Meanwhile, our trades on the Bears vs Falcons game should also have netted some profits for another good NFL weekend

Sunday 6pm, Chicago Bears (3-2) @ Atlanta Falcons (3-2)

Interesting match-up here as the Bears have started to play as an offensive team and QB Kyle Orton is starting to impress with his arm and decision making.

But this game will be about the Bears 4th ranked rushing defense stopping the league’s leading rusher, Michael Turner (with 543 yards so far). If they can it will stop the Falcons offense in its tracks but let him run and the Falcons could score plenty and control the clock and the game.

Also check out the battle between wide receiver Rod White of Falcons and his defensive cover Charles Tillman. Tillman has forced 4 turnovers this year and is a big imposing man.

For the Bears, they need to keep Kyle Orton safe from John Abraham – the sacking machine.

There is plenty in this match for me to want to trade rather than make a decision. Chicago are starting favourites at 9/13 but I am keen to trade against the side scoring first.

Sunday 9pm,

Green Bay Packers (2-3) @ Seattle Seahawks (1-3)

The Packers have stalled a little with a bad loss last week at the very end against Atlanta.
They were on a two game losing streak but should have won last week and resurrected their play-off ambitions at the same time.

However, the Seahawks are there for the taking but at home they might put up more of a fight than last week’s disgrace.

I reckon Green Bay running back – Ryan Grant – should enjoy a porous defense that gave up 10 yards per carry to Brandon Jacobs last week and also when they air the ball receiver Greg Jennings should enjoy a poor secondary.

Green Bay to win @ 6/5 is my straight bet.

I will be out so won’t be able to trade but I am happy that I am opposing a side that has only scored 2 TD’s all year.
