Three winners from the late November midweek Premiership games
Well we pretty much got the first one spot on, as Sheffield United grabbed a One-Nil win at Watford. While the second tip also brought us profit, thankfully the over and under goals market doesn’t require us to call a winner, as Arsenal crashed 2-1 to Fulham by the Thames in West London.
Here’s what we went for:
Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock is targeting their match against Watford on Tuesday night as a three-pointer, but there’s not much between the form of the two sides, and if anything home advantage could tell. Both clubs have managers who will not budge an inch tactically so a goaless draw or a sneaky 1-0 seems likely.
1pt under 1.5 goals at 3.1 (Betfair)
On Wednesday evening Arsenal cross London to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham. With Queudrue out and Christanval drafted in as emergency cover at the back, it looks bleak for the home side. With Henry and possibly Rosicky back, Arsenal will sniff both goals and revenge after recent defeat at Bolton.
3pts over 2.5 goals at 2.32 (Betfair)
Tom Allen was also spot on with his prediction of Man City mugging Villa in the Midlands. he went for:
1.5pts Lay Aston Villa (vs. Manchester City) @ 1.98 (Betfair)
As Stuart Pearce’s men racked up a really good 3-1 win. Happy days!
