The 2007 Rugby World Cup got under way at the Stade de France as the hosts rolled over against Argentina
Spot on from Fletch, on all points, as France crashed to Argentina 12-17
France v Argentina, Friday 8pm
What a belting match to start.
The host nation versus the combative Argentines who should really be looking to shock the world with their play.
They did for England last November and only lost to France by a single point 27-26. They can certainly cause an upset and would have four years ago against Australia if the referee had let them scrum.
Two powerful sides with a real forward battle to come. However, I think Skrela should give France control – enough anyway to ensure a home win. Not that it will be easy. At 1.2 my inclination is to lay France and hope for a jittery start.
So back Argentina to trade at 11/2 – it is value so we must do it – but it is a TRADE.
As for total points, I will be looking at this spread with a view to selling. Under 45.5 at betfair at 1.8 has merit and interestingly the spread with SportingIndex is 42-45 – much nearer my thoughts.
