Our tips for the second One Day International between England and West Indies
Spot on here, Fletch called this one all the way. Ker-ching!
England v West Indies, 2nd One Day International, Wednesday
UPDATE 2pm: Well this has worked out beautifully. After a slow start the West Indies are absolutely caning it and England went out to as far as 3.5. The lay of England worked well, and we have effectively doubled our money

We have to ask, was the match at Lord’s that England won a thumping victory and indicative of what we can expect from now on?
Maybe, but my fear is that England did what they always do when batting and set an average target circa 220. Most half decent sides would chase that comfortably – indeed West Indies should have, but some accurate bowling – albeit hardly the stuff of terrors – and some abject batting meant they were never in the game after the switch over.
For me these sides are still equally poor and inexperienced, and so I expect trading to prove profitable.
At 1.6 on Betfair England are ridiculously short, and for the exchange to not offer a price higher to trade would need England to score 85 off the first 15, or get West Indies 30-3.
Both are possible but the way to bet is lay England now and then hope for a trade.
Incidentally, England won the first match comfortably but went from 1.7 to 2.6 during the first innings.
That is where the money is made on these matches. Not picking a victor but taking a silly price with more upside than down.
