Almost two for two here, unfortunately Man Utd’s sluggish start meant it was 0-0 at h-t, before they won 1-0, but we were bang on Bayern, as they despatched Real 2-1 despite a Spanish fightback.

Many feel it’s Man Utd’s year for the Champions League. They have a strong squad, a cushion at the top of the Premiership and manager Ferguson wants it bad. If United can avoid the niggle that enveloped the end of the first leg against Lille and find a high tempo they should dominate this match. With two away goals under their belts Bayern Munich look good to go through against Real Madrid in their second leg at the Allianz Arena. Beckham and Reyes are out for the visitors, and crucially there is also an injury cloud over key defender Cannavaro, while both Bayern frontmen netted at the weekend.
