In what can only be called a stroke of genius, the punter in question decided to back the following (slightly risky!) matches:
- Burton to draw with Manchester United at 13/2
- Leyton Orient to win at Fulham at 9/1
- Leicester to beat Tottenham at 5/1
- Clyde to beat Celtic at 16/1
- Dundee to beat Stranraer at 8/13
For a five pound stake he walked away with the total sum of £61,788.46.
The fact that the punter bet with Betfred ensured he was an even bigger winner than if he’d placed his bet with other leading bookies. Placing the same bet with Coral would have paid over £4,000 less, while William Hill would have paid out over £7,000 less than Betfred, and Ladbrokes would have paid almost £10,000 less than Betfred, so the ‘Bonus King’ was certainly the right choice for the accumulator.
