A good weekend of Guinness Premiership rugby betting tips for us
Harlequins looked great in beating Bath 19-3 away from home but our real score of the weekend was our back of Leicester vs Sale. The Tigers won it 37-31 in a close game.
It’s been a difficult couple of weeks for our rugby betting. While some bets have come in, others have crashed. Of course it is annoying but unfortunately it is all just part and parcel of being a punter. I have a golden rule when this is happening and it is to cut my stake levels in half.
No quibbles, just cut 50% off and start rebuilding the account and confidence. Form is not only on the pitch, it can be off it as well. So this week we have two Guinness Premiership matches as the race for the title and play-offs draws close.
Bath vs Harlequins, Saturday 2.45pm
This has humdinger written all over it as the two form teams of the season battle it out for supremacy at the top of the table. I cannot distinguish between these two. The bookies can’t either so I will rely on my default setting for such occurences and that is to trade and lay the side that takes the lead.
I am looking for a series of 0.2 swings so I can build up a position on one team by half-time or 60 minutes that I can then spread evenly across the pair.
Leicester vs Sale, 5.00pm
This one follows straight on from the Bath match and Tigers should win. Not only are they at home but their recent form has been excellent. They have found their old clinical, ruthless streak and it shows.
Sale are priced at 6/4. That is too short for a trade so I will back Tigers anywhere around 1.55 upwards.
The top of the table is now so close with four teams on 57 points and one on 56 that home advantage should really count for something now. Welford Road with a resurgent Tigers is a tough ask for any team.
