Appleby took this valuable 1m4f event two years ago with 20/1 shot Art Scholar off a low weight, and Eurystheus comes into this race in form similar to his stablemate at that time.
The five-year-old has won twice over the summer, like Art Scholar did previously, including last time out at Newmarket by 5l, having run well in his previous race at the same track when finishing eighth in a 22-runner field.
Place terms look set for 1/4 odds for the first four home in this pinsticker, and with favourite Mount Logan sporting double-digits at 10/1, getting behind a 25/1 outsider like Eurystheus looks the best way to play.
