Greg ‘FBT’ Mueller has won his second bracelet of the 2009 WSOP
Greg Mueller made history at the WSOP by becoming the fourth player to bag multiple bracelets at this years World Series of Poker. The former Ice Hockey player had previously won event #33 ($10,000 limit Hold’em) and his victory in event #50 $1500 limit Hold’em shootout meant his was the fourth player at the 2009 series to win more than one bracelet. Mueller joins Phil Ivey, Brock Parker and triple braclet winner Jeff Lisandro in that illustrious club.
The Canadian beat out 570 other hopefuls to pocket the first prize of $194,854 a win which took his lifetime WSOP earnings over the $1.5 million mark. ‘It feels unbelievable,’ said Mueller on his win. ‘Especially because the player I beat (Marc Naalden) is such a great limit Hold’em player. He was the player coming into today who I thought would be the toughest to beat. I’m really, really happy with this one.’
