As the Christmas lights are turned on, and that Coca-Cola advert plays round the clock on the TV, it’s a great time to take stock of the year’s biggest online poker winners. Despite the loss of the American market there is still a thriving high stakes cash game scene online, and some new faces are emerging.
Conspicuous by their absence in this top ten list are Phil Ivey, Ben ‘Sauce1234’ Sulsky and Ilari ‘Ziigmund’ Shamies, who all endured losing years. The $2.4m loss endured by Ivey, playing online under the handle ‘Polarizing’, is especially a shock considering that he’s won around $19m in total from online cash games. Fellow superstars Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan, Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond and Dan ‘Jungleman12’ Cates all had winning years but just miss out on the top ten.
So, without further ado, here are the biggest online poker cash game winners of 2013 as of December 5…

So, as of December 5, it is German high roller Nicklas ‘ragen70’ Heinecker who rules the online roost. It’s been an incredible year for Heinecker who, on top of his $5.75m in online cash game winnings, has also won $4.5m in live tournaments this year for a total haul of over $10.25m! It has to go down as one of the most successful years in the history of poker and Heinecker is putting forward a very good case to be regarded as one of the very best poker players in the world.
