Antonio Esfandiari is confirmed for huge cash game live on Twitch tonight
The Super High Roller Series kicked off last weekend with the $1m winner-takes-all Celebrity Shootout, featuring Phil Hellmuth, Antonio Esfandiari and Daniel Negreanu. It’s being shown on TV in July on NBC so there are no spoilers.
The Super High Roller Cash Game is next and it could be epic. It’s scheduled to be filmed across three sessions, today, tomorrow and Wednesday from 2pm-2am PT. If you’re in the UK that’s a 10pm start. Dozens of players have been invited, with Antonio Esfandiari confirmed and a waiting list already in place. The first session clashes with Day 2 of the $111,111 Big One High Roller, but there are still plenty of big names available, not least a certain Phil Ivey, who busted out of the event yesterday.
The minimum buy-in is $250,000 and the game is set to play at $400/$800. What’s getting us so excited is that it’s being produced by POKER PROductions, the same company that did High Stakes Poker. And, it’s being streamed live on Twitch, with a 30-minute delay! Whatever you’re doing later today we’d recommend you put your plans on hold and log-on to www.twitch.tv/pokercentral. With any luck they’ll make past broadcasts available as well, so if you can’t stay up all night, you’ll be able to watch it at your leisure tomorrow.
