You know that you’re officially in spring when the sun is shining, the trees are blossoming and lamb is back on the menu. While those three things are very welcome, as everyone in the poker world knows the real highlight of spring each and every year is the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP). Since it started in 2009 the SCOOP has gone from strength to strength and now rivals PokerStars’s original mega-festival, the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) for both prestige and enormous prizes.
This time round SCOOP will have a huge $40m guaranteed across 135 tournaments at all stakes. One of the great aspects of SCOOP is that each and every event has three buy-in variations; Low, Medium and High. This means that even recreational low-stakes players can take part, with buy-ins starting at just $5! Whereas if you are sitting on bags and bags of cash the $20,500 High Roller heads-up tournament will catch your eye.
The 2014 PokerStars SCOOP will run from May 4-18. Last year’s event was the richest tournament series in online poker history, accumulating a total prizepool of $75.5m! With three extra events scheduled in 2014 there is a good chance that record could be broken. You can view the full, extensive tournament schedule by CLICKING HERE.
PokerPlayer.co.uk will have all the news from the 2014 PokerStars SCOOP once the action begins on May 4. Good luck!
