What is Six Plus Hold’em?
Six Plus Hold’em is the brand new variation of Holdem played with a deck of 32 cards starting from 6 up. So all 2,3,4 & 5s are removed from the deck.

When?
Six Plus Holdem will be available with Coral Poker (on the Ipoker Network) from 29th February, 2016 and will be supported with two exciting and separate promotions; Six Plus Festival and Six Plus Surprise so they really are going in with all guns blazing.
Why?
Imagine the potential! This new version of the game is already becoming very popular being promoted by professional players and generating interesting and action filled games all over the world so we think Coral Poker players will love it.
How is it played and what’s different?
Initially each player receives two pocket cards, the same as traditional Texas Holdem and rounds of betting start, again the same as regular Holdem.
The Flop (3 Community Cards) are dealt to generate betting and then the Turn card is dealt (4th Card) with again another round of betting followed by the river card (final card) and final round of betting begins.
The game will then go to showdown where the best hand is the winner, but remember the hand rankings have changed! your full house will get busted by that flush and your straight will lose out to a set! (3 of a Kind).
Winning hands: the changes
Because you are playing with 36 cards instead of the standard 52, hand rankings will change in line with probability.
For instance it is now more difficult to hit a flush than a full house as there only 9 cards you can do this with: 6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K,A
So a flush in Six Plus Holdem will beat a full house.
Fewer cards in the deck mean that straights will be easier to hit and consequently now sit below three of a kind in hand rankings
The lowest straight (wheel) now becomes: A,6,7,8,9. This is because the Ace still retains both its low and High value.
Remember, the two major differences are that “Three of a kind” now beats a “Straight”, and “Flush” beats a “Full house”. This is implemented to make up for the changed probabilities of hitting, due to the reduced deck as compared to classic Hold’em game with 52 cards.

Traditional Holdem Hand Rankings:

As the game is a new, you may find it confusing at first thinking you have a winning hand with a straight only to see the pot being passed over to the player with three of a kind. A,6,7,8,9 as the lowest straight will undoubtable cause confusion.
Likewise, players with a full house may be equally disappointed when beaten by a flush.
But don’t worry when you start to play. They want you to learn and enjoy it! New hand rankings and rules will be published on their help centre for all players.
All players will also get a warning message appearing on the table advising them that they are about to start playing Six Plus Holdem with a brief insight to hand rank changes i.e three of a kind beats a straight.
So take time to familiarise yourself with this great new variation and it’s unusual rules such as why is the hand ranking changed and no river and extra pocket (hole) card dealt out after the river etc.
