Ladbrokes Poker announces plans for early qualification for the 2008 World Series of Poker

UK poker operator Ladbrokes is very serious about the World Series of Poker, and to demonstrate their committment to the annual extravaganza in Vegas, they have announced plans to give away the first seats to the 2008 edition.

Wednesday 14 November will see Ladbrokespoker.com launch its new Poker Team Ticket (PTT) by running a $10 re-buy WSOP Reunion tournament. There’s a genourous $20,000 guarantee, which includes awarding the first of the Ladbrokes’ Team 100 2008 WSOP packages worth $14,000 to the winner.

For those that think its going to be easy though, sorry to disappoint, you’ll have to outwit the poker smarts of the 100 strong 2007 WSOP Team that Ladbrokes has invited to play in the PTT WSOP tournament, who, between them in this year’s WSOP, cashed a staggering $788,982.

To spice up the tourney further, a massive $6,000 in bounties will be awarded (the first worth $25), increasing as each bounty is claimed, to anyone that knocks out any of our top twelve 2007 WSOP main event cashers, plus two Ladbrokes’ poker managers and the Ladbrokes MD, Edward Ihre (who’s no pushover having qualified for the 2006 main event!).

Samantha Alleyne, PR Manager of Ladbrokespoker.com said: "The Poker Team Ticket is the only way that you can qualify for a place on the Ladbrokes Team 100 for the WSOP."

"I anticipate that this will be one of the most popular online tourneys around as Ladbrokespoker.com is one of, if not the first major poker operator to offer 2008 WSOP packages and this, coupled with our worldwide reputation of really enhancing the player experience at live events, means players are keen to qualify with us."

Each Poker Team Ticket is worth a maximum of $14,000 and entitles winners to join Ladbrokes’ sponsored players to compete in any one of five premium tournaments in Europe including the Master Classics, EPT Copenhagen, Irish Open, EPT Grand Final and the WSOP. For the price of two PTTs a seat could be yours in one of the hottest televised tournaments in Europe, Ladbrokes Poker Million VI.

There are a number of ways to qualify for a Ladbrokes Poker Team Ticket the cheapest being an $8 + 1 daily satellite, which takes you through to the daily final and then on to the fortnightly final. There is also a $75 + 7 daily final which takes you through to the fortnightly final and a $700 +$50 direct buy to the Wednesday final where one Poker Team Ticket will be available for every $14,000 generated.
