With 30 events having taken place, overall participation has increased by 11.7%. The WSOP 2011 has attracted 33,173 entrants which has increased the prize pool by 8.6 percent in comparison with that of 2010.
Other tournament records that have been broken are:

-Largest live Six-Handed tournament in history (1,920 entries in Event 10).
-Largest live $1,500 buy-in No Limit Hold’em tournament in history with single day start (3, 157 entries in Event 18).
