Fitzwilliam Card Club in Dublin set to host William Hill Grand Prix II satellite this Friday
Following the success of the inaugural tournament in 2005, the £500,000 William Hill Poker Grand Prix is fast becoming one of the most prestigious poker events on the circuit.
Now aspiring poker players throughout Ireland have a chance to sit down and play with the very best as the Fitzwilliam Card Club in Dublin hosts the third land based qualifier for the Grand Prix II on Friday the 8th September.
The winner of the qualifier at the Fitzwilliam Card Club next Friday, along with just 11 other ‘mere mortals’ who will qualify from on-line or land based tournaments over the next few weeks, will get a direct seat in to the William Hill Grand Prix II to play with the ‘Gods of Poker’, forty four poker professionals that reads like a ‘who’s who’ from the world of poker.
The tournament itself is set in a luxury penthouse with a multi-level poker room that oozes style and wealth and having shown the original Grand Prix in 2005 to what turned out to be the biggest TV audience for any UK tournament, Sky Sports has already snapped up the rights to GPII and will be airing the tournament early in 2007.
To enter in to the qualifying tournament at the Fitzwilliam Card Club, players should contact the casino directly on 00 (35) 1611 4677. Current legislation states that players are required to be full members of the casino before being able to enter the tournament (there is no charge to become a member at the Fitzwilliam Card Club).
Details of the all the online and offline qualifiers plus full terms and conditions can be found on www.williamhillpoker.com.
