WCOOP 2012 Announced

Missing the WSOP? Couldn’t buy-in to the Big One? Well, online grinders of the world unite, the PokerStars World Championships of Online Poker (WCOOP) are coming, and judging by the schedule, you don’t want to miss out!

Online poker’s richest tournament series will return on September 2 for 61 top notch events, ranging from $215 to the stunning $5,200 Main Event which this year comes with a guaranteed prizepool of $5m.

Last year, the 2011 WCOOP gave away a staggering $47,120,800 in prizemoney, and if you fancy grabbing a slice of this year’s monies, you can play your way into every WCOOP event through penny-saving satellites or direct buy-ins.

Still not sure whether you should be playing? Well, just take a second to think about last year’s Main Event champion Thomas ‘Kallllle’ Pedersen, who thanks to winning the biggest online poker MTT of 2011 walked off with a life changing $1,260,018.50. If that still doesn’t whet your whistle, then how about WCOOP Player of the Series Joel Adam ‘2FLY2TILT’ Gordon?

Gordon’s $96,097.55 in cashes across a range of WCOOP events was good enough to bank him a free EPT Grand Final prize package, a SCOOP main event ticket and a PCA package, not to mention the trophy and special chip set. Tasty!

Once again, PokerStars will be promising big guarantees on every event, but expect those to get smashed thanks to the overwhelming popularity of the annual WCOOP festival.
