Tony G on TV

Betfair Asian Poker Tour winner Tony G makes an appearance on Sky Sports for Ladbrokes Poker Million

Poker enthusiasts keen to pick up a few poker tips this Tuesday, should tune into Sky Sports 2 in the UK at 10pm to witness the poker playing prowess of the recent winner of the inaugural Betfair Asian Poker tour.

Tony Guoga, better known as Tony G on the poker circuit will be taking on 5 other Ladbrokes poker players in the quarter finals of Ladbrokes Poker Million V, a tournament widely regarded as the toughest, biggest and richest in Europe!

Tony G, will be showcasing the skills that won him his $20,000 quarter final seat and ultimately helped him to clinch the historical first prize in Singapore scooping a prize of $481,000.

However, Ladbrokespoker.com regular, Joshua Ang (X_Angel) didn’t seem to have the angels on his side when he lost to Tony Guoga heads-up to secure second place, although many would argue that a place in the history books and a prize of $233,000 wasn’t bad for three days work!

David Briggs, Managing Director of Ladbokes, eGaming commented: "It just illustrates that we provide the key offline tournaments around the world and the tournaments that Ladbrokespoker.com host, online and offline attract some of the best (players) in poker worldwide."

He continued "The winner of the APT, Tony Guoga is about to be featured on our Poker Million show on Tuesday (21/11/06) and runner up Josh X, not only qualified for his seat to the Asian Poker Tour via Ladbrokespoker.com, but more recently won a $15,000 seat to the Aussie Millions taking place in January.

Sadly another of our Ladbrokes regulars Graeme Newman, recent winner of the LEOCOP (Ladbrokes European Online Championship Poker) alias Grazza, narrowly missed a payout!"

Switch to Sky Sports 2 on Tuesday evening to see how Tony G fares and whether he secures one of the final twelve seats in the Ladbrokespoker.com Poker Million V semi-finals which will be aired on the 13th and 14th December with the live televised final on the 15th.
