The 2008 World Series of Poker $10,000 Main Event is now on a 117 day break until the final table
Play in the $10,000 Main Event of the 2008 World Series of Poker is on break. And it’s on break till 9 & 10 November.
After eleven days of play at the Rio in Las Vegas we are down from 6,844 runners to a final table.
The nine players remaining will be awarded $900,670 each for their efforts so far, and reconvene in November to play for the rest of the prize money, the bracelet and the title of No-Limit Hold’em World Champion.
Expect the nine players below to become incredibly well known in the interim. There are no recognised stars in the line-up, but expect to hear a lot more about them in the coming months.
The impressive machinery of the poker marketing industry will now swing into action, with sponsorship, endorsement deals, coaching, in depth profiling, and celebrity all awaiting the nine final tablists. Life will never quite be the same again for these guys.
