PartyPoker announces qualification plans for Scandinavian TV cash game with $11,000 buy-in

PartyPoker.com has announced that it has started online qualifiers for PartyPoker.com Scandinavian Poker Masters – The Game, Scandinavia’s first televised cash game. Twelve semi-final packages are up for grabs and worth $11,000, which includes buy-in, hotel and travel expenses.

The two six-player semi-finals and cash game final take place in front of television cameras in London from August 13 through 17. The two winners of the semi-finals will take on 12 of Scandinavia’s top players in ‘The Game,’ an exclusive high stakes cash game. Patrik Antonius, Martin De Knijff and Mats Rahm, all courtesy of Martinspoker, are three names confirmed so far.

PartyPoker.com will pay the buy-in of $50,000 for the two qualifiers. The ten semi-finalists that miss out on the final will play for a share of $20,000 in a runner-up tournament. The biggest poker stars in Scandinavia will be specially flown to London for the multimillion dollar high stakes game and it will be televised in both Sweden and Denmark this autumn. Since this is a cash game there is no given prizepool, but every player has to buy in for an initial $50,000. ‘The Game’ will continue as long as there is money left or until the time runs out.

There are a number of ways to seize this prestigious opportunity. Qualification is available through daily freerolls, daily qualifiers for weekly satellite seats and direct buy-in to nine weekly satellites to play for guaranteed seats.

A PartyPoker.com spokesman said: “It is very exciting to offer Scandinavia’s first televised cash game. You’ll be able to almost touch the excitement when these twelve pros and two amateurs fight for millions of dollars in front of the cameras.”

This promotion is exclusive to Scandinavian players only.
