Eric “Rizen” Lynch is the latest online hotshot to join UlimateBet’s roster of star players
UltimateBet has scooped up another one of poker’s rising stars. The online poker site today announced that Eric “Rizen” Lynch has joined its week-old Star Players team, a new category of talent reserved for the most respected players in online poker.
“I’m extremely pleased to be a part of the new team at UltimateBet,” stated Lynch. “I’ve been playing on the online poker site for over four years now and have always enjoyed the fast software and the excellent structure that the tournaments offer. With the new tournament schedule and many of the exciting changes coming up, I’m very excited that I get to be involved.”
The signing of Lynch comes just one week after UltimateBet added Cliff “JohnnyBax” Josephy to its roster of high caliber players. The new addition leaves the online poker community speculating on who’s next.
“We’re extremely impressed with Rizen’s talent both at the online poker tables and at land-based tournaments,” says Annie Duke, UltimateBet’s Cardroom Consultant. “But we’re most impressed with the integrity and strong values he shares with Josephy.”
Like Josephy, Lynch is renowned for his positive attitude and high level of integrity. He also comes to the site armed with a solid history of wins. In 2007, the online poker player from Olathe, Kansas cashed five times at the World Series of Poker* and made two final tables, winning over $163,000.
His online poker successes are equally impressive. Last December, Lynch finished first in event #5 of UBOC, UltimateBet’s online championship series, securing $57,875 for his win. More recently on May 1st, Lynch won $10,400 after placing 1st in UltimateBet’s $40,000 Guaranteed Sniper tournament.
