Qualify For 2010 Irish Open

paddypowerpoker.com announce the 2010 Irish Open and there’s an exclusive PokerPlayer freeroll to win a seat

paddypowerpoker.com today announces details of the Irish Open 2010, which will feature a
€100,000 Sole Survivor promotion for the 2nd year. The Irish Open 2010, Europe’s longest running
tournament, will take place from April 2nd – 5th 2010. The buy-in is set at €3,200 +
€300, with a Super Satellite scheduled for April 1st.

Last year a field of over 700 players entered with experienced pro Christer Johansson eventually coming out on top for a huge €600,000. PokerPlayer favourite Kara Scott put in a tremendous performance to finish 2nd for over €300,000. We conducted an interview with her days after the event which you can find here.

As in 2009, all paddypowerpoker.com qualifiers to the Irish Open 2010 will be eligible for
participation in the €100,000 Sole Survivor promotion and the player that becomes the ‘Sole
Survivor’ by outlasting all other paddypowerpoker.com qualifiers in the tournament will win
a €100,000 package. The Irish Open 2009 €100,000 Sole Survivor was Marcel Koch, a 31
year old German player.

“Our qualifiers to this year’s Irish Open were really excited about participating in the very
first €100k Sole Survivor promotion and it was great to find such a worthy winner as Marcel”,
said Paddy Power, Communications Manager for paddypowerpoker.com. “We can’t wait to
kick off the search for the next Sole Survivor; there are 100,000 reasons why it makes sense
for players to qualify for the Irish Open 2010 on paddypowerpoker.com and nowhere else!”

Players can qualify on paddypowerpoker.com for as little as $0.50. The first weekly Super
Satellites will take place on Sunday November 1st at 7.30pm, with buy-in set at $250 + $18
and one Irish Open 2010 package won for every $7,200 in the prizepool
paddypowerpoker.com.
