Anticipation builds ahead of the Channel 4 screeing of PartyPoker.com Premier League Poker

The hype is building for the broadcast of PartyPoker.com Premier League Poker which is due to get underway on Tuesday 22 May on Channel 4 in the UK.

What is more, there is sneak preview available on the matchroom website. Matchroom Sport has partnered with PartyPoker to produce the show.

The series features 12 of the world’s best players playing in a unique league format for a $500,000 pot. Each player bought in for $20,000, with PartyPoker.com adding $260,000.

The field included Phil Hellmuth, Dave ‘The Devilfish’ Ulliott, Tony G, Andy Black, Kiril Gerasimov, Liz Lieu, Ian Frazer, Roland De Wolfe, Vicky Coren, Juha Helppi, Kenna James and Eddy Scharf.

After each player played 6 times, the leading 4 players advanced to the final table with the bottom 4 relegated. Players in 5th – 8th place played off in heads-up matches for the remaining 2 seats at the final table.
