Poker, mind games and BIG prizes on the way this November
The Prague Poker Festival will return for a second year this November, and if you like your poker washed down with mind games like Scrabble or backgammon, organisers Living it Loving it have got a treat in store…
The festival, which runs from November 26 – December 16 at the world renowned King’s Casino and the 5-star Corinthia Hotel, will not only feature a full WPT schedule, but the first ever Prague Mind Sports Festival will kick off slap bang in the middle of it all, promising big prizes and the chance to battle it out in backgammon, Scrabble, Risk and eSport tournaments.
‘Mind sports have become increasingly popular thanks to the popularity and demand for mobile and social gaming,’ said Dave Brannon, managing director of Living it Loving it at an exclusive press conference in Las Vegas this summer.
‘We view poker as one of the core mind sports alongside traditional games such as bridge, backgammon and chess. Our aim is to integrate these skill-based mind sports, creating the world’s biggest independent festivals following the launch of the inaugural Prague Mind Sports Festival at the end of the year.’
Mind sports enthusiast take note: the unique festival starts on December 1, and if you get knocked out of the Scrabble tournament early, there’s always the WPT main event to win back your losses.
