Paddy Power Poker announces plans for a series of Olympics themed events running in August
paddypowerpoker.com today announces details of The PPP Olympics, a series of money-added tournaments that are inspired by this year’s sporting festival in Beijing and will lead up to a Gold Medal Freeroll, which will have more than $15,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs.
Each of the Hold’em and Omaha events, which run twice nightly from August 8th until August 14th, is named after an Olympic event and will have either $250 or $1,000 added by paddypowerpoker.com to the prizepool.
Players will have to participate in at least three of The PPP Olympics events in order to qualify to play in the Gold Medal Freeroll on August 15th. This No Limit Hold’em tournament will feature an Irish Winter Festival package worth $4,500 for 1st place and a mixture of $215 and $23.50 Irish Winter Festival satellite tickets for the remainder of the top 30 finishers, in addition to the $10,000 cash prizepool distributed as standard.
“I know there is a lot of excitement right now about the small sporting event due to take place in Beijing in August, but we wanted to offer something even more exciting for our players” said Paddy Power, Communications Manager for paddypowerpoker.com.
“We’re giving away over $20,000 to those players willing to show us they’re at the top of their game and trying to get on the podium – for those who have been in training these last few months, it is now time to grab their spandex, shave all their body hair and reach out for the gold medal!”
