Join Negreanu, Minieri and ElkY on the latest PokerStars Poker Camps
At the start of EPT Season 5, PokerStars launched a series of Poker Camps aimed at helping players improve their live tournament skills. The success of these – at EPT Barcelona and the PCA in the Bahamas – has led PokerStars to celebrate the end of the EPT Season by hosting dedicated camps for Italian and French speakers as well as English.
PokerStars Poker Camps are an amazing opportunity to improve your game by learning from the very best in the business. The best part is that you can win your seat in the Camps with online qualifying satellites on PokerStars. Buy-ins start at $ 11, and you can also qualify via an FPP route and the Steps system, or buy-in direct.
A total of three camps are being held at the end of April – a one-day camp in Italian, just after EPT San Remo, plus a French language one-day camp and an English-language two-day camp just before the EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final. All the camps will feature instruction modules from some of the best tournament players in the world, including online versus live play, final table strategy, and vital live hand analysis.
All PokerStars Poker Camps feature a special tournament open only to Poker Camp participants and featuring great prizes. For the English-language Monte Carlo Poker Camp, there are two seats in the PokerStars EPT Grand Final main event packages up for grabs – including buy-in, hotel accommodation and money for expenses.
At the San Remo Poker Camp (April 24 at Hotel Nyala Suites), Italian speakers will get to hone their skills with top tuition from Pros like Luca Pagano and Dario Minieri. Who better to advise on how to take down the big money in a major tournament than Luca Pagano who currently holds the EPT record for most cashes (ten), has a record four EPT final table appearances and is currently second on the EPT all-time Tournament Leader Board. Luca and Dario will be among those passing on invaluable tips for bettering your game.
French speakers will be meeting one of the sharpest tournament players in the world: the legendary ElkY. If you want to make it to the top, this is the man to show you how – Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier leads the EPT all-time Tournament Leader Board and has won over $ 4 million in the last 14 months with first place finishes at the PCA in January 2008, PCA High Roller event in January 2009 and WPT Festa al Lago $ 15,000, plus 2nd place in the WCOOP $ 25,500 NLHE Heads-Up. The French-language Poker Camp takes place April 27 at the Fairmont Monte Carlo.
English language speakers will meet up with a raft of top players at the third Poker Camp taking place just before the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo. Among the tutors will be the poker legend Daniel “KidPoker” Negreanu, one of the most successful – and popular – tournament players in the world. This is the man who has over $10 million in tournament winnings, 25 first place finishes and four WSOP bracelets. At the World Series last year, the queue to meet Daniel went round the block – but you’ll have a chance to sit down at the same table as this supremely engaging player and really hear what it takes to make it to the top.
Team PokerStars Pro and former world champion Greg Raymer said: “I think the attendees will make money as a result of coming to a Poker Camp. The Poker Camps in Barcelona and Bahamas were a huge success, with many attendees reporting major successes following their tutelage from the Team Poker Stars instructors.”
