Playboy poker camp

Top pairs on show at Playboy as campers rub shoulders with a bevy of buxom beauties

The original highroller Hugh Hefner has answered the dreams of millions of poker players by marrying together his Playboy brand with the world’s favourite card game.

It comes as little surprise that the ‘man who can’t say no’ is getting ready to dip his big toe into the poker world by launching an online cardroom and setting up a poker boot camp at the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa in Palm Springs; the only question remains is what took him so long?

Playboy glorifies many of the things poker players hold dear: beautiful women, thought-provoking debates and a jetsetting lifestyle. Given the choice between winning $200 in a freeroll or a guided tour round the Playboy Mansion, we know which ‘prize’ we’d rather have.

Camp it up

And if you’re more into the three Ps – poker, partying and playmates – than the three Rs, then the Playboy Poker Camp is definitely worth shuffling up for. The four-day camp, which takes place from January 17-21, includes seminars and instruction from the 2003 WSOP champion Chris Moneymaker, and fellow pros Layne Flack and Jim ‘Krazy Kanuck’ Worth.

Each day, tournaments and sit-and-gos will take place, and campers get the chance to rub shoulders (nothing else, mind!) with a bevy of legendary Playmate beauties in a bid to win exclusive Playboy prizes.

So you may want to reconsider booking that family holiday. After all, what better way is there to spend $4,999? Check out www. playboypokercamp.com for more details.
