A new outfit is looking to pub poker online in an interesting and innovative partnership.

Gastro Gaming Company Ltd has teamed up with Regent Inns plc to launch PlayPubPoker. The first fully customised pub poker solution that operates across Regent Inns’ portfolio of brands – Walkabout, Bar Risa and Jongleurs.

Sponsorship packages have been secured with PartyPoker and Budweiser that will further increase exposure for the brand as well as creating additional revenue channels.

The customised website – www.playpubpoker.co.uk acts as the hub of the product with details of all participating venues, events, results, leagues and leaderboards available as well as a number of interactive features that include player registration, player search and pre-registration for any event.

GGC look after all the management, maintenance and support issues associated with the poker solution and within this framework Regent Inns have the flexibility and control to structure the product as they believe best suits the demands of their estate.

Each venue currently operates a weekly small stakes (max £5 buy in) tournament on their chosen night and can cater for as many as 40 players (£2.50 buy in) at any one event. There will also be a single champion’s league that is planned to run across all venues through spring 2008.
