3D online poker operator PKR.com revamps its entire tournament schedule
It seems online poker operator PKR.com never stands still and as such the 3D innovators have announced a completely new tournament schedule.
The decision to re-model the tournament structure is a direct result of player feedback and reflects the sites changing customer base, and the company hopes that the new tournament structure is now one of the most complete online poker tournament offerings anywhere on the web
Cardroom Manager Neil Wright said, “Our new tournament schedule is all about giving our players exactly what they want; more choices, more fun and more chances to win. We want to show players that we really are committed to providing a poker experience like no other. Our new blinds and payout structure, combined with increased guaranteed prize pools will allow PKR.com to do exactly that.”
The revamped schedule will include more player favourites like lower buy-in multi-table Sit & Go’s and satellites to major events, as well as offering a whole host of new and enhanced tournaments, freerolls and satellites.
PKR.com’s tournament structure has also been modified to encourage more skilful play and a wider variety of deep stacked big buy-in tournaments have been added. The introduction of antes add another dimension to tournaments making late stage play even more exciting.
PKR.com’s weekends are getting even bigger too, with the addition of big money guaranteed tournaments like the ‘Saturday Showdown’ and ‘Sunday Classic’. The ‘Saturday Showdown’ has a $55 buy-in with a guaranteed prize pool of $20,000 while the ‘Sunday Classic’ offers players a $25,000 guaranteed prize pool for the low buy-in of $65. PKR has also added a big $10,000 Premium freeroll to the mix to reward loyal players with a fantastic free prize pool.
This new tournament structure also introduces more variety to the PKR.com tournament mix with the introduction of Phase, Terminator and Terminator Xtreme tournaments. Phase Tournaments, where players can play their way through five levels to win big prizes, have proved immensely popular. The structure allows for buy-ins at all levels and players can move up or drop down depending on their standings at each level. Level One starts at just $3.60.
PKR.com’s biggest tournament is also growing. The monthly $50,000 guaranteed has been upgraded to become the monthly ‘PKR Masters’ $75,000 guaranteed tournament. It offers a deep $5,000 starting stack and a 20-minute clock for a buy-in of $250. Satellites start at just $1.28.
