Paolo69 follows Jake Cody into winner’s circle
Sure Sam Trickett may have more money than god and Roberto Romanello can’t stop banking major titles, but dominance isn’t dominance without a few big online score. And this week, double GUKPT champ Paul ‘Paolo69’ Foltyn became Britain’s latest conqueror, taking down the SCOOP event #19 high buy-in for $188,100.
Less than a week after Jake Cody won event #2 for $234,738, Foltyn defeated a stacked field to put the Brits on top once more, seeing off Dutch hotshot Lex ‘RaSZi’ Veldhuis’ en route.
The win is Foltyn’s first big score since he won GUKPT Brighton last October, his second GUKPT title following 2008’s Grand Final in London. He now joins an elite list of UK SCOOP which includes Cody, Pete Linton and Daniel Morgan.
