Luke Schwartz, Mike Sexton and Phil Laak all make the World Open final
The PartyPoker.com World Open final table begins today and the main attraction is sure to be the controversial young star Luke ‘Full_Flush’ Schwartz. After getting himself a nationwide casino ban for refusing to pay for a smoked salmon sandwich at the recent EPT London, there were fears that he wouldn’t even be able to participate in this year’s World Open. However, he was allowed to play his heat (accompanied by a security escort), won that and is now one of the favourites to take the title and $250,000 top prize.
Joining him in the final are recent Hall of Fame inductee Mike Sexton, Andy Black and the long-term couple Phil ‘Unabomber’ Laak and Jennifer Tilly.
Commenting on the final table line-up, a PartyPoker spokesman said: ‘The final table line-up is fantastic and is undoubtedly the strongest and likely to be th emost entertaining in the event’s history. We have a poker legend, a poker asbo, a celebrity couple, the mad former Premier League champion, an online qualifier and a member of PartyPoker.com’s new grassroots team.”
We’ll be revealing the winner tomorrow and coverage will start on Five on October 28th, presented by PokerPlayer favourite Kara Scott.
